Through his professional career, Mr. Demirjian has gained applicable experience serving both small and large-scale clients and has polished his creative and strategic thinking skills. He has represented clients in state and appellate courts, and has extensive trial experience with both bench and jury trials. His experience has allowed him to streamline his expertise in a field he is passionate about.

• Admitted to practice law by California Superior Court in 2007.

• Admitted to practice in the Central District of California and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

• Selected to SuperLawyers in 2023 & 2024 for General Litigation and named as a Rising Star by SuperLawyers in 2019 & 2020 for General Civil Litigation, an exclusive list of top-rated attorneys in specific practice areas chosen after a thorough evaluation of numerous criteria (no more than 2.5% of attorneys in California).

REPRESENTATIVE WORK

• Served as lead trial attorney obtaining millions of dollars in judgments and settlements.

• Manages a diverse caseload representing many individuals and small businesses going up against many of the top law firms in California.

• Interviewed and given statements to many local, national, and international news agencies for his representation of some of his higher-profile clients, including Grammy Award-winning artist Luis Miguel regarding breach of contract and employment matters.

• Trademark litigation claims against hip hop artist Rick Ross.

• Successfully conducted bench trial in favor of client's divorce with comedian Ron White.

• Conducted trials regarding many business disputes, including partnership disputes, shareholder disputes, breach of fiduciary duty, and fraud actions.

• Settled numerous wrongful death medical malpractice actions on behalf of the victims' families.

• Represented employees in court as well as arbitration regarding discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination claims as well as wage and hour actions.

 

BACKGROUND & EDUCATION

• Mr. Demirjian has a degree in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles (2001), and a J.D. from Loyola Law School of Loyola Marymount University (2007).

• Joined Sands & Associates in 2008, where he worked as the firm’s lead trial attorney for all civil litigation until founding Demirjian Law Firm in 2021.

• Mr. Demirjian worked for a prominent employment litigation firm in Manhattan Beach. Here, he conducted his first jury trial, which sparked his passion for what he does today.

• Worked for the Washington D.C. office of Lehman Brothers investment bank, a grassroots lobbying organization, and a boutique civil litigation law firm.

• Mr. Demirjian served as a Legislative Assistant for U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Transportation & Infrastructure subcommittee on Economic Development, Public Buildings, and Emergency Management. He has also worked in the Washington, D.C. office of a United States Senator.  

• When not at work, Kris enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children as well as travelling and watching the Lakers and Dodgers strive for more championships for his hometown of Los Angeles.

• Kris is a member of the school board for Holy Martyrs Ferrahian High School, Cabayan Elementary, and Plivajian Preschool where his children attend.
